San Francisco's 64th Annual North Beach Festival wraps up Sunday evening in Little Italy, organizers said. The free festival takes place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Grant Avenue between Columbus Avenue and Filbert Street, on Columbus Avenue between Broadway and Green Street and on Vallejo and Green streets between Grant and Columbus avenues.
From 2 to 3 p.m. a blessing of the animals will be held in The Shrine of Saint Francis of Assisi at 610 Vallejo St. Circus performers with a one-ring circus called Circus Bella will perform, among other acts, rope walking, a nine-person juggling act, contortion and static trapeze. Little Italy is home to Italian restaurants, cafes and shops and the festival has more than 125 arts and craft booths, food, two stages of entertainment, street painting, poetry readings, beverage gardens and a kids' chalk art area.
