The Italian community in Santa Clara and around the Bay was saddened to learn of the death of Dr. Victor Vari last week. He was the longest serving professor at Santa Clara University and a safekeeper of Italian language and cultural, which he passed on lovingly through his decades of service in California.
A recent message last week from Santa Clara University president Michael E. Engh, S.J, imparted:
