OPENING RECEPTION & ARTIST TALK - Friday, February 9 | 18:30 - Free admission | RSVP. ON VIEW: February 9 - March 9, 2018. 601 Van Ness Ave, Suite F (Opera Plaza) - San Francisco, CA 94102. In an exhibition recently presented in the beautiful Palazzo Ducale in Sabbioneta, artist Silvia Caimi focuses on the theme JUMP, the physical effort to transcend human nature and a metaphor of the human aspiration to the transcendent.

The exhibition, curated by Italian art critic Prof. Giammarco Puntelli, will host fifteen large oil paintings. Caimi's artistic research is strongly influenced by her classical studies, in particular by Neoplatonic philosophical theories suggesting that phenomena and forms are a pale image or imitation of something higher.

In JUMP, Silvia Caimi invites us to discover our true nature through a reflection in the beauty of her figures and wonderful bodies in evolution, where the athletic gesture represents a temporal passage and a moral evolution of man.

A native of Mantua, Silvia Caimi holds a degree in literature and studied Byzantine, medieval and modern Art before dedicating herself to painting, cultivating a natural talent that soon evolved into an artistic and rigorous methodology, particularly directed to the human body.
