In conjuction with the Rossini Opera Festival (ROF), a yearly international music festival held in August in Pesaro, the birthplace of Gioachino Rossini (1792-1868), and on the occasion of 150th anniversary of the composer's death, the IIC will host an outdoor screening of La scala di Seta.
This sparkling 1812 farsa comica in one act weaves a burleasque tale of a gentlemen climbing in and out of a lady's bedchamber on a silken ladder. Screening of a a modern-day production by Damiano Michieletto from the 2009 Rossini Opera Festival.
