Organizers of St. Rocco's festival are getting ready for this year's event, which will be held Aug. 10, Aug. 11 and Aug. 12 at the church grounds, 6658 School St. in Lower Mt. Bethel Township (Martin's Creek). The festival is a celebration of the feast of St. Rocco, a 14th century saint born in Northern Italy, known for his miraculous powers to heal the victims of the plague in Italy and France.
The festival, which features music, dancing, traditional foods and a view of Italian heritage, is open 6 to 10:30 Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Entertainment will be provided 7 to 10 p.m. each night.
