The Italian Social Club of Chicago started with a conversation over dinner. The concept was simple: find a way to foster all things Italian - including food and wine - with others who have an affinity for the Italian culture. In the process this would allow its members to create new and lasting memories and friendships.
Celebrating over food has always been a highlight in the Italian culture. The group enjoys monthly dinners at various Chicago area Italian restaurants with special events planned for most Italian holidays. Each event always integrates an appreciation for art, music or other elements of the Italian culture. For example, last September, the event included a tour of Ginny Sykes’ art studio in Chicago, an artist who exhibits regularly in galleries both in Naples and Chicago. The tour was followed by a wonderful dinner of Neapolitan appetizers and pizza at Spacca Napoli. Olives and prosecco were included!
Now that all the holidays are over and a fresh year is on the calendar, we invite you to participate in the Italian Social Club of Chicago’s first event of 2018:
Carnevale 2018: A Roaring 20's Masquerade Ball. Saturday, February 10, 2018. Arcada Club, St. Charles. 7:00 - 11:00pm. Cost is $75.00 per person, which includes dinner, drinks and appetizers. Entertainment by Nik Sharp Sings Sinatra
