Nearly 700 Italians have been recognized as Righteous Among the Nations by Yad Vashem, but few of their courageous acts are known. Join us to hear some of these stories by viewing the documentary My Italian Secret: The Forgotten Heroes.
The heroism explored includes that of champion cyclist Gino Bartali, who smuggled false IDs for endangered Jews in his bicycle frame; as well as moving examples of living in hiding with the help of Italian partisans and ordinary villagers.
