We are Pursuing Our Italian Names Together, Chapter 22. We are also known as and the Italian Family History Club at the Italian Community Center and Milwaukee County Genealogical Society's Italian Area Interest Group. Our next meeting will be held on September 19, 2015, at the Italian Community Center, 631 E. Chicago Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, starting at 10:00 a.m. and concluding at noon.
Directions: On 794 East, the Juneau/Jackson exit is closed. Heading east, exit at James Lovell and turn left onto E. St. Paul. Take E. St. Paul to Jackson. Turn right on Jackson. The Italian Community Center is on E. Chicago Street. Parking is available behind the building. At our meeting, we will update each other on new developments in genealogy, new progress in our research, using DNA and other sources in our research and we will offer suggestions to help one another overcome brick walls.
An opportunity for you to learn and to search for your relatives will be held Saturday, November 7, 2015 starting at 1:00 p.m. and ending at 4:00 p.m. called: TROVA I TUOI ANTENATI, (Find Your Ancestors) A Genealogy Event, held by the Culture Committee at the Italian Community Center, in collaboration with us and the Milwaukee County Genealogical Society. They will be bringing their computers to search in their databases for your family. We will be bringing our private database of 45,123 names and 14,052 families from the areas in or around Palermo, Sicily. If your family is from this area and if your surname is related to Alioto, Dentice, Balistreri, Busalacchi, Machi, Sanfilippo, Tarantino, or any other spelling of these and other related surnames, you do not want to miss this event. You might even meet a new cousin.
Our next meeting after this event will be held on November 14, 2015, at the Italian Community Center, 631 E. Chicago Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, starting at 10:00 a.m. and concluding at noon.
