Please join us for a traditional Columbus Day Dinner sponsored by the Gulf Coast Italian American Cultural Society. The event will take place at the Silver Slipper Casino in Bay St. Louis, MS at 5:30 p.m. President of the National Italian American Foundation John Viola, last year Keynote speaker, said that it is important to remember that Columbus Day is about more than just Columbus. “It’s about 25 million Americans of Italian descent and all of their ancestors and all of the sacrifices and risks that they took to come here and allow us a better life and the hope is that we take that better life and pass it on to our children and grandchildren along with our really incredible culture.”
In addition to delicious Italian cuisine, the celebration this year will included a silent auction that goes toward the foundation’s scholarship program.
