Vullo was confirmed by the New York State Senate as Superintendent of the New York State Department of Financial Services in June 2016 after being nominated for the position by Governor Andrew M. Cuomo. The Department of Financial Services is responsible for regulating banks, insurance companies, and financial services companies in New York and protecting New York’s financial markets and consumers.
