There will now be one group overseeing all of Fredonia’s festival events. Festivals Fredonia Chairman Larry Fiorella announced Wednesday the committees that run the Italian Festival and the Farm Festival voted to merge into his organization recently. The announcement came at Festivals Fredonia’s year-end meeting Wednesday at Barker Library.
“I’ve always felt that there shouldn’t be multiple organizations running festivals in the town. I think there should be one umbrella they all fall under,” Mark Mackey, the Farm Festival director, said after the meeting. Mackey will be vice chairman of Festivals Fredonia under the new arrangement.
