A night of celebrating Irish and Italian heritage will be held at Morgan Park in Glen Cove on Sunday, Aug. 6. The free show begins at 7:30 p.m. and features performances by Andy Cooney and Christopher Macchio. Residents are welcome to bring a blanket and chairs or even set up a picnic.
Cooney, who performed at the Morgan Park Summer Music Festival in 2014, has recorded 19 albums and has had seven Carnegie Hall sellouts. He will be joined by his touring partner Macchio. The two artists are backed by the four-piece, The Big Apple Band. Morgan Park is located on Germaine Street at the end of Landing Road in Glen Cove. In the event of rain, the concert will be held in St. Patrick’s Parish Hall, located on Pearsall Avenue in Glen Cove.
