Albany's Italian American Heritage Museum offers several events this month to draw visitors indoors at 1227 Central Avenue. Father's Day Weekend, the museum waives its $5 admission for dads on Sunday to see the museum's "Gifts from Our Grandfather" exhibit.
The grandfather is Italian-born artist and GE worker Julius Pardi who as a child learned from his father how to make exquisite pottery and sculpture. His grandchildren have loaned samples of his art, poetry and music to the exhibit. GE hired Pardi to work in Schenectady making high voltage ceramic insulators.
