A memorial ceremony for the late Rose Sproviero was held on Saturday, June 23 at the Italian Charities of America building on Queens Boulevard. Ms. Sproviero was the president of Italian Charities of America from 1986 to 2017. Italian Charities of America (ICA) wanted to honor Sproviero for her many years of dedication to the organization and the Italian American community.
There was a special presentation by Vincent Maltese, Serphin Maltese, and Constance At the portrait unveiling were (l. to r.): Elena Migliaccio, daughter of Rose Sproviero; Domenic Giampino, President of the Italian Charities of America; the portrait artist Constance Del Vecchio-Maltese; portrait benefactor Vincent Maltese, former vice president of Italian Charities of America; and former NYS Senator Serphin Maltese.
