A formation of four A-10C fighters, ready for their next mission, takes off from the runway of the Moody airbase in Georgia. They are however under the command of an Italian pilot. “I’m the only non-American at the controls of these aircraft. This fills me with pride and encourages me to always give 110%, because I know that I am here to represent Italy and our Air Force.”
His friends call him “Pinna”, “fin”, but Roberto M. (we do not know his surname for security reasons) has nothing to do with swimming. His passion is flying, and he has managed to transform it into a career. He has moved from Ostia to Georgia, with a stopover in Istrana, in the province of Treviso, where he flew AMXs, the jets used in Afghanistan and Kuwait.
