Andrea Bocelli to give first-ever public Salt Lake City performance in November

Renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli will give a public performance for the first time ever in Salt Lake City at Vivint Smart Home Arena on Nov. 29 at 7:30 p.m., it was announced Monday. The concert is the first stop on a seven-city U.S. tour the Italian singer-songwriter plans to make late this year, with performances in Las Vegas, Phoenix, Dallas, Pittsburgh, New York City and Boston through Dec. 15.

The Grammy nominee, who became blind in his youth, is known for recording dozens of pop and classical albums and has sold more than 90 million records worldwide. Bocelli’s popular 1999 rendition of “The Prayer” with Celine Dion won a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song, and the tenor’s recent duet with Ed Sheeran of “Perfect” has accrued more than 89 million views on YouTube.
