Within the frame of 2013 The Year of Italian Culture in the United States, the Division of General Surgery, together with the Cancer Center at the University of Illinois at Chicago are pleased to invite you to an all-day, free presentation on the use and benefits of minimally invasive techniques.

Guests are cordially invited to embark on a futuristic journey about patient care and what physicians are doing to ensure that they are offering the best possible options here at UIC. Guests will learn about state of the art technologies being used in some of the major surgical specializations to minimally invasive approaches for cancer treatment. A new architectural vision of the operating room of the future will also be presented, engaging listeners as the most brilliant minds from the American and Italian scientific communities come together. This event aims to raise awareness among patients and physicians regarding the benefits of minimally invasive techniques as well as the range of innovative technology available to medical professionals.
