Family backyard get-togethers over drinks inspired the launch of Fabrizia Spirits' Italian Margaritas. Phil Mastrioanni credits his sister's "Jenna-Ritas" - a combination of lemonade, tequila and Fabrizia's own limoncello - for inspiring the company's margaritas, which debuted in 2015."What she made is the same recipe," he said last week. "We didn't really change anything."
Following a pilot program last year, the nearly 10-year-old company started widespread canning of the all-natural margarita product last week. "The format of a to-go can is very popular," said Mastrioanni, who owns the business with his brother, Nick. Last year, Fabrizia sold 130,000 bottles of limoncello and Italian margaritas in about 15 states.
