Now open and called the Del Chiaro Center for Ancient Italian Studies at the University of Berkeley, this new academic center is promoting and advancing the study of the many cultures of ancient Italy, with special emphasis on the Etruscans and Romans, through conferences, sponsor lectures, workshops and exhibitions dedicated to the ancient art, history and archaeology of Italy. The head of the Del Chiaro Center is the brilliant lecturer and archaeologist, Lisa C. Pieraccini Ph.D.
