CALL FOR PAPERS: The American Association of Teachers of Italian (AATI) will hold its annual conference at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY, from May 30-June 2, 2019. The conference theme is open, but AATI encourages presenters to consider topics regarding current situations and events in Italy today, as well as those traditional subjects concerning pedagogy, culture, literature, cinema, theater, Italian as L2, the Italian language abroad, Italian identity in the world, history, economy, art, opera, etc.
Proposals: The deadline for both individual paper and session proposals is March 1, 2019. Presentations are welcome in either Italian or English but must not exceed twenty minutes in length. Colleagues are invited to organize sessions and round tables of seventy-five minutes long. Participants may present only once but may chair more than one session and present their work in more than one round table.

* Only members in good standing of AATI and those who have paid the conference registration fee by March 1, 2019, may participate in the conference as presenters, organizers, and chairs of sessions, as well as round-table participants.
* All speakers/participants must be present in person at the conference. Presentations via Skype or other technology are not permitted.
* Anyone interested in attending the conference on only Friday or Saturday is asked to indicate as much in their proposal.

Publication of Conference Presentations: After the conference, all presenters are invited to submit their presentations for publication in the digital journal, AATI Online Working Papers.
