The Thirteenth Conference of Italian Researchers in the World will be held on December 1, 2018, at Richland College, Sabine Hall #118, 12800 Abrams Road in Dallas, Texas.

Organized by the Comitato Tricolore per gli Italiani nel Mondo (CTIM) in partnership with COMITES ~ Houston, which represents the Consular District including Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, and Oklahoma, and the Office of the Consulate General of Italy in Houston, this event will include the participation of Italian researchers in the areas of Science, Technology, Medicine, and the Humanities and whose activities are linked to Italy through their nationality, by their area of study, or by their connection with public and/or private Italian organizations.  The motivations which drive the Conference are the goals of bringing the citizens closer to the scientific research and lessening the divide between the humanities and the sciences.

The Research Conference, which is free to attend, is open to the scientific community as well as the general public and will serve to highlight work being done by Italian researchers in the United States.  Researchers interested in participating should send a summary of their research as well as a one paragraph biography, which together should not exceed 400 words and which should be in the .docx format, to the Conference Organizing Committee at conferenceabstracts@comites-houston.org by November 1, 2018.  The official language of the Conference is English.  Presentations for those research abstracts which are accepted should not exceed 10 slides and should be communicated in a way that can be understood by those who may not be from the scientific field.  Presentations should center on topics with a broad interest.
