An expansive seating area with modern tables and chairs awaits customers next month at Carrara Pastries’ new location in Moorpark. Damiano Carrara, celebrity chef and owner of Carrara Pastries, which offers Italian coffee and dishes in addition to its acclaimed sweets, shared mockups of the shop’s plans, located at 144 W. Los Angeles Ave., on his Facebook page last week.
Carrara Pastries hopes to debut its new store to customers during a grand opening in October. The photos show a large eating area for customers as well as a private room for classes and parties. The interior will be painted and decorated in shades of blue, grey and white. “We wanted to do something that is timeless, clean and beautiful. The colors are really bright and welcoming,” said Shaylee Olson, part-owner and general manager of the store.
