After enduring a few too many entrees that he complained were (A) tepid in temperature, (B) too fatty, (C) overpriced or (D) all of the above, a friend insisted that we try his new favorite restaurant. "I thought this eatery hit one right out of the park," he enthused via email.
We were game and followed the instructions into a quiet Campbell residential neighborhood far from the city's hot downtown dining scene. Sorelle has developed a sentimental following, and it's easy to see why: This is the reincarnation of the homey, red-checkered-tablecloth Italian-American restaurant that everyone grew up with -- whether that was in California or on the East Coast.
