A new Italian eatery is hoping to open up in Mendham, and is currently going through the approval process. Frank's Pizza, a sit-down Italian restaurant, wants to open in King's Shopping Center, occupying the space that had been damaged in last December's fire, the Daily Record reported. The restaurant would sit 64 people and offer take out.
The plans still need approval from various borough boards, including the Planning Board, before it could open. A pizza place, Village Pizza, used to operate in the space but closed following a devastating fire. In total, four businesses were damaged when a garbage truck caught fire and exploded, spreading the flames to the strip mall last December.
