Italian cold cuts specialist Veroni is introducing a 100% Italian pizza and salami bites to please American consumers looking to add natural taste to their happy hours. Veroni, which opened a slicing and packaging plant in New Jersey in June 2016, has increased its retail presence in the United States and is now distributed at Kroger, Trader Joe’s, Costco, Ahold and Market Basket, Marketing Director Emanuela Bigi told Italianfood.net.
We made a big investment, we have four slicing lines at our plant in New Jersey and we are now presenting new products for the US market, Bigi said during the Winter Fancy Food Show 2018 in San Francisco. After 18 months of hard work, we are in the main distribution chains. We are very proud of it, she said. Veroni is confident its pizza, made with all Italian ingredients, is going to grab a slice of this huge market because it’s natural and fresh. The company is also presenting a new range of salami bites and salami chips to add to its “aperitivo” lineup, as the Italian lifestyle of enjoying the “happy hour” with great food is winning over new consumers in the United States.
