La prima cosa che le è venuta in mente, quando il nunzio apostolico degli Stati Uniti le ha chiesto di cucinare per Papa Francesco durante la sua visita a New York (24-26 settembre), è stata di preparare delle bistecche argentine. Ma la richiesta arrivata da Roma è stata perentoria: piatti semplici e leggeri.
Soprattutto perché il Pontefice si troverà nella Grande Mela di venerdì, giorno di magro. Allora Lidia Bastianich ha deciso di puntare sul pesce, sulla pasta fresca fatta in casa — «in versione light», assicura — e sul riso.
