George Diakomihalis believes fresher pasta will sweeten the lives of Anderson residents. With that in mind, Diakomihalis is part of a family foursome — which includes wife Foula, brother Michael and sister-in-law Vasoula — who plan to bring authentic Italian dishes to Anderson. Their new restaurant, Dolce Vita (the Italian term for "Sweet Life") has scheduled its grand opening Wednesday. The Italian bistro pizzeria is located on 3823 State 81, near Stoney's BBQ and The Boondocks.
The restaurant will be open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday (4-10 p.m.) and for lunch (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.) on Sunday. "We will probably expand the hours at some point, but this will be the plan as a new staff learns the process," George Diakomihalis said.
