Italian actress Virna Lisi passed away today, aged 78. Well-loved by young and old, Virna Lisi, born in Ancina in 1936, began her career in her early teens, debuting in The Line of Steel in 1953.
She later took part in films alongisde Toto' and debuted in a Hollywood comedy as a blue-eyed temptress opposite Jack Lemmon in How to Murder Your Wife (1965) and appeared with Tony Curtis in Not With My Wife, You Don't. She also starred with Frank Sinatra in Assault on a Queen (1966) and with subsequently with Rod Steiger and Anthony Quinn.
