European wine is the most popular with consumers around the world. Last year, exports set an historic record at approximately €10 billion, contributing €7 billion to Europe's trade balance.
According to 2015 figures presented by Ceev , the EU Committee for the wine industry, in 2015 French wine exports rose (including intra-EU flows) to €8.3 billion, followed by Italy with +3.7% to €5.4 billion and by Spain with +2.7% to €2.6 billion.
