After years of decline Csil (Centro Studi Industria Leggera, Light Industry Study Center, Ed's note) estimates growth in the 2015 home furnishings industry at about 1.8% with a total market value of €15.5 billion thanks to exports and a stabler Italian domestic market (+0.3%).
Forecast reports presented in Milan by Csil and the World Furniture Outlook 2016 paint a much needed positive picture for the Italian furniture industry, and it seems less of a blip and more of a trend that looks to remain steady in 2016.
