The one thousand five hundred models on display at the Footwear Museum in Stra (Venice) tell a story that is almost 70 years long. The extraordinary collection put together in 1995 by Luigino Rossi, president of Calzaturificio Rossimoda, is made up of models the company manufactured from 1947 to the present: fine women's shoes signed by some of the greatest designers of the 20th and 21st century, including Givenchy, Céline, Dior, Fendi, Christian Lacroix, Calvin Klein, Kenzo, Emilio Pucci, Richard Tyler and Donna Karan.

Villa Foscarini-Rossi – a 1600s' complex on Riviera del Brenta – is a magnificent frame for pairs inspired by 1940s' Hollywood "sophisticated comedies", by the psychedelic hues and patterns of the 1960s and 1970s, and of course for heels, platforms, soles, buckles, and uppers fit for the 2.0 generations.
