Central Alabama Community College and 2a s.p.a., an Italian foundry and zipper manufacturer, announced Wednesday an agreement to create the Center for Precision Machining at CACC in response to both 2a s.p.a. and area industries which have identified the need for a machining workforce.
"Community colleges are the perfect partner for my company and companies like mine," said Vincenzo Ilote, president of 2a s.p.a., headquartered in Torino, Italy. "They are teaching the science of learning."
