Charitable Italian American Organization of Lima presented a check for $525 Monday to the Abilities Baseball Field Project at its general membership meeting at Milano Café. CIAO invited Abilities Baseball co-founders Rachael Chapman Staley and Tracie Sarno Sanchez to speak to the packed room of CIAO members about the Abilities Baseball Field of Dreams.

Abilities Baseball Field of Dreams helped more than 110 differently abled young people play in last season's league. CIAO members finished their meeting discussing how to tackle a new year of generating funds for college scholarships for Limaland graduates and support numerous local nonprofit organizations.
