John Crispino took a year to renovate the building that now houses his restaurant. After months of renovation and preparation, Crispino’s Pizza has opened at 5031 Market St. The New York-Italian eatery, owned by John Crispino, is dishing out oven-baked pizzas, stromboli, calzones, subs and pasta dishes.
Crispino owned a Crispino’s Pizza in Morehead City for nearly seven years. When he was ready for a change, he sold the restaurant. After the sale, he was disappointed the new owners changed some recipes. Today, that restaurant is closed. “It’s just hard to see something you worked for go downhill like that, and it had my name on it,” he said.
