The Italian American Alliance recently was created to serve as a lobbying and advocacy group for Italians in Cambridge. The group was created in response to the Cambridge City Council's decision to replace Columbus Day with Indigenous Peoples Day.
"We very much look forward to confronting those individuals as well as the cooperating organizations that are involved in attacking our heritage," said Frank Mazzaglia, an officer of the Italian American Alliance. "Up till now, the so-called Indigenous Peoples Day leaders have lacked the courage to act openly. We look forward to meeting them head-on and providing a more accurate account of history," said Mazzaglia. For information: [email protected].
