The Dari-ette Drive-in, an old spot to get classic Italian diner food in St.Paul, Minnesota has been named one of the best drive-ins in the country by thrillist.com.
The 1950's-style diner has been a staple on the city's east side for its inexpensive Italian-American menu, which includes pizza burgers, meatball sandwiches, spaghetti, and homemade sauce by the pint.
Owner Angela Fida tells the Business Journal the place her grandfather started in 1951 is one of the few American drive-ins that serve spaghetti. Or meatball sandwiches or pizza burgers. Or a gallon of sauce for you to drive off with. The Dari-ette has gotten its fair share of attention before. The Food Network's Guy Fieri recently featured it on "Diners Drive-ins and Dives."
