The Piazza D'Italia in downtown New Orleans was a fitting setting for the Italian-American Marching Club Pre-Parade Celebration on Sunday, March 9. The Piazza was built in 1978 to commemorate Italian immigrant contributions to New Orleans.
The sunny skies and spring-like temperatures, no doubt, added to the joyful atmosphere -- and many hope that the same weather will occur for the 44th annual St. Joseph Day parade on Saturday, March 15.
