This year could be an important one for Italian furniture exports, which should grow by 5% taking a step back towards pre-crisis levels.
The conditions are just right: the strengthening of the dollar against the euro, driving sales not just in the United States, but also in the many other international markets that are connected to the American currency, partially offsetting the difficulties from a slow-down in exports to Russia; the decrease in oil prices and the growth of exports to China and emerging markets in Asia and Africa; and the awakening of Europe after years of stagnation.
