Dozens of people with masks filled the room at Sons of Italy in Endicott for Little Italy Endicott's "Carnivale di Venezia" Masquerade Ball. Tickets for the event were $35, which included a cash bar, food and live music.
All the money for the event will go toward Little Italy Endicott's mission to revitalize the community. The purpose of the event was to celebrate the Italian culture and eat Italian specialty foods. "It's great to see people come out and support our Little Italy mission," said Little Italy Endicott President Michael Romeo. "And support the community and be part of our Italian heritage." Romeo also said he plans on making the Masquerade Ball an annual tradition.
