Just two years after making its debut in Gaston County, Marco's Pizza will soon be spreading its sauce a little wider. The newest location of the burgeoning Italian-American cuisine chain will open early next year beside the Hoffman Village shopping center, next to Publix. It will employ about 30 people, said Andy Hunter, an area representative and franchisee for Marco's Pizza.

"We're looking to finish construction in the first part of January, so we should be open by the end of January or beginning of February," he said.
