St. Leonard Church will close for its long delayed restoration beginning on January 2, 2017. Located in Boston's North End at 320 Hanover Street, the iconic Roman Catholic church will be under construction for several months and perhaps over a year. The news was posted in this week's church bulletin: We can finally announce with confidence that we will be ringing in the New Year with hammers and nails!!!

The last Mass at St. Leonard's will be on Sunday, January 1, 2017. After that, all Masses will be held at Sacred Heart Church in North Square. Mass times will remain the same, but the parish will operate out of Sacred Heart during the restoration of St. Leonard. The Gift Shop and Church Office will remain open.
