We are going to join The Italian American Club, The Sons of Italy and The Augustus Society in creating a scholarship because, there is a niche not served by the other scholarships.
The Italian American Club has a great scholarship program which is open to all college, university and trade school applicants regardless of age and grade (i.e. it is open to existing college, university and trade school applicants). Winners are chosen based upon merit and need. Those interested need only apply. The Sons of Italy is similar.
The Augustus Society is more merit based and requires applicants to apply.
Our scholarship is different: it is only open to high school seniors attending top US universities; it is 100% merit based; and there is no application. Our goal is to find local Italian-American high school seniors that have the greatest potential of making an impact in science, government, medicine and/or business within 20 years. Our goal is to help the winners achieve their maximum potential through: a) financial rewards, b) opening doors, and c) removing obstacles to their future. Isn't that a great program? Click here to help us identify the best Italian American seniors in Las Vegas. Our goal is for the three other organizations to participate in this scholarship.
