Pictured is North Haven First Selectman, Michael Freda as he "passes" the Italian Flag to East Haven Mayor, Joseph Maturo, Jr. in recognition of theTown of East Haven becoming the host community for the 2015 Columbus Day Parade.

The parade will be held on Sunday October 11th as marchers will step off in the downtown district of East Haven. The parade will be in East Haven for the third time since the Columbus Day Executive Board began a rotating schedule among the communities of North Haven, Hamden, West Haven, New Haven and recently Branford. The parade was last held in East Haven, October of 2009.
