The best part of a romantic comedy is the part where they fall for each other in a montage of tangled dog leashes, diner scenes and raindrops. Movies love raindrops. The montage is a good way to move the story along without dwelling on any one scene. A montage is a good way to tell the story of San Antonio’s Luce Ristorante e Enoteca, with an upbeat collection of scenes from an Italian restaurant.
Scenes of wine lovers who have their own storage lockers here, of happy-hour seekers who love the half-price pizza and antipasti, of regulars who insisted on sharing their love of the place with me, the stranger one table over. The Luce montage has more food scenes than an Instagram account.
