This year Italy presents: Angelina: A Contemporary Cinderella, a 40-minute storytelling opera for ages 5 and up, is an adaption of Gioachino Rossini's classic opera La Cenerentola by Monica Lapenta, publisher and author of children books, whose mission is to help children of all ages fall in love with the opera. If you took away the glass slippers, the pumpkin and the fairy godmother what would be left of the Cinderella story? Quite a bit! – is the answer.
