They say if you live long enough, you’ll see everything. On Monday, Nov. 20, Antonio Luigi Capicotto marks his 87 birthday, having experienced — three times — something few golfers see once. Capicotto just recorded his third hole-in-one, an "ace" to golfers.
The feat is even more impressive considering that Capicotto, a stone mason since the age of 12, didn't pick up a golf club till he was 68. On Oct. 26, he stepped to the tee at the second hole of the Westchester County-run Maple Moor Golf Course, not expecting much. “It was cold and I had just gotten a 5 on the first hole, missing a short putt,” he said.
