Do you have needlework items with a meaningful story behind them? The IAMLA is seeking needlework—including sewing, knitting, crocheting, lacework, and embroidery - made by Italian and Italian American women for an upcoming exhibition. Please send the following to [email protected]
Detailed photograph(s) of the needlework piece. Try to capture any sections that are particularly intricate or interesting. The story behind the needlework. Who made the piece? What inspired it or what was its purpose? When and where was the piece created? Are the circumstances surrounding the work's creation noteworthy? How is the needlework significant to you? Please do not send items to the IAMLA. The deadline for submissions is October 20, 2021.
