Weston’s Frank Angotti, a U.S. Army veteran of the European Theater in World War II and retired businessman and state Division of Highways comptroller, is parade marshal for the West Virginia Italian Heritage Festival Grand Feature Parade. The parade kicks off at 10 a.m. Saturday in downtown Clarksburg.
Angotti was born November 21, 1921, to immigrant parents, Thomas Baptista Angotti and Mary Folio, both of San Giovanni, Fiore, Italy. Thomas and Mary lived across the street in the hillside of San Giovanni, and Mary would watch Thomas’s mother walk to Mass each day.
