You don't have to fly to Rome to throw three coins in its world-famous fountain. Head to the Mercer County Italian-American Festival, where visitors can toss coins into the pool of a Fountain of Trevi more than half the size of the original in Italy as the actors did in the 1954 Academy-award nominated movie, "Three Coins in the Fountain."
The festival takes place the last weekend of the month and is expected to draw thousands of guests. And for those heading to the Jersey Shore that same weekend, the Sons of Italy Wildwood are hosting the 15th Annual Olde Time Italian Festival on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 27 and 28, in in Fox Park, located on Ocean Avenue across from the Wildwoods Convention Center.
