The UNICO National President, Executive Officers and convention attendees attended a wreath laying ceremony to honor Christopher Columbus in Parsippany. That same day, UNICO National, the largest Italian American service organization in the USA, held its 98th Annual national convention at the Sheraton Parsippany.
The wreath laying ceremony was held to commend the community for their passionate defense and Preservation Of their Columbus statue. UNICO NATIONAL 2ND VP and Columbus Day Chairman Cav. Ralph A Contini organized the event. Speakers included UNICO National President Dr. FRANK DeFrank, UNICO President Elect Steve Pelonero and Township Council President Michael J. De Pierre. A wreath was laid at the monument.
